What is your return policy?
No problem! 2ndandcharles.com will accept most returns within 30 days of order receipt on items that are returnable. We cannot accept returns of products marked non-returnable.
Items returned will be refunded to the original payment method or a gift card.
*Please note that shipping and handling charges are not refunded. A refund will only be applied for the amount paid for the merchandise.

Return via Mail:
To return an item within 30 days of order receipt if the item is returnable:
- Email our Customer Service department at [email protected].
- Please include the following information:
- Order ID number, Reason for return, Item(s) you are returning
- A return label with the address of the store will be emailed to you within 48 hours.
- Securely pack the item(s) that you are returning to us.
- Affix the label, apply adequate postage, and ship the package.
- We are not responsible for the item until it arrives at our facility. Save your tracking information.
- Our Returns Department will issue your refund once the return is processed.

What payment methods does 2ndandcharles.com accept?
2ndandcharles.com accepts credit or debit cards issued by Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover, as well as 2nd & Charles gift cards. We do not support paying with PayPal, Affirm or others at this time.
How does store credit work?
2nd & Charles store credit can be redeemed for just about anything in the store (except gift cards), and it never ever expires! This probably goes without saying, but store credit cannot be redeemed for cash. All you need to redeem your store credit is a government-issued photo id.
What is we-cycling?
We-cycling is a communal (and arguably way more fun) version of recycling. It’s selling/trading in your old stuff so it can have a new life with someone else. Together, we can make a difference for the planet by reducing waste and giving every item a second chance. If Mother Nature could high-five, she’d definitely have one waiting for you.
Where do we get our merchandise from?

Why isn't a product available for purchase?
Some of our special products are exclusive to our physical stores and aren’t available online. This is because these items are often unique, limited in quantity, or part of a special collection that’s best experienced in person. We want to give you the chance to see these treasures up close and take them home right away! I am unable to apply a coupon to my order.
Items listed as "Item may not be eligible for special discounts or coupons." are not eligible for special discounts or coupons. Limit one use of coupon code per account. Specific offers are valid on online purchases only. Valid through dates specified on the coupon code per account. Coupons may not be used toward the purchase of gift cards, LEGO® and trading cards. How do I check my gift card balance?
Currently, we don’t offer the option to check your gift card balance online. However, you can easily reach out to our customer service team HERE for assistance, and they’ll be happy to help you get your balance.
Why was my order/part of my order cancelled?
Sometimes, items sell out quickly since we source products from both our retail stores and warehouse. In some cases, store inventory may be inaccurate, or an item could be missing due to theft or other factors.

My order was cancelled. When can I expect my refund?
2ndandcharles.com charges for orders as they are shipped. When you place your order, we do a pre-authorization hold for the full amount. You are only charged for items that are shipped. The pre-authorization hold should fall off within 3-5 business days of initial order placement.

What does it mean when a product is labeled as an "assortment"?
When a product is labeled as an "assortment," it means that styles, colors, or designs may vary, and one item will be selected at random for your order. Specific choices cannot be guaranteed

Below you will find a general outline of what we buy back. For the best answer, please contact your local store.

- Audiobooks on CD
- CDs & vinyl records in original cases/with original cover art (turntables too)
- DVDs & blu-ray movies & tv boxed sets
- Video games past and present, from the Playstation 3, Wii U, and Xbox 360 to the NES, Sega Genesis, and Atari
- Game systems & accessories old and new, with all necessary cords and at least one controller; we also buy extra controllers
- Games & toys with all pieces
- Collectibles & action figures
- Musical instruments
- Comics, graphic novels & manga, preferably bagged and boarded, but definitely in good condition
- IPods with usb cord and at least one song on the player for testing
- IPads and other tablets with USB cord
- eReaders like nook and kindle, with all necessary cables
How much stuff can I sell?
We have a three-tote maximum at all stores. When you arrive, you can fill up to three full buyback totes for one sale/visit. Have more stuff? There’s always a next time.
How long does the buyback process take?
That depends on how many people are there in front of you and if you’ve sold with us before. First time sellers will need to create an account, which just takes a few minutes. Once you hand over your stuff for evaluation, the buyback manager will give you a timing estimate. You can also choose between email and text notifications for when your offer is ready.
What do I need to sell stuff at 2nd & Charles?
That’s easy. You just have to bring the stuff you want to sell, a valid government-issued photo ID and be at least 18 years old.
Are there items you won't accept?
We don’t accept advanced reading copy books, magazines, textbooks, PC games, or VHS tapes. Our trade-in folks will also take other factors into consideration — such as age, demand, and condition — when deciding whether or not to accept your items and how much to offer you for them. I am a collector. What if I have a huge collection to sell?
Do you have a large quantity of gently used books, vinyl, one-of-a-kinds or vintage anything? You might be what we call a “super seller.” We want to know more about your collection. Start the conversation by dropping us an email. Learn more.

I changed my mind about my Buyback offer. Can I return the cash and get my items back?
Unfortunately, no. When a cash offer is accepted and paid out, there is no way to void this transaction. When we receive the buyback items into the system, it clears the record so there is no way to see what the items were and there is no way to pull them back out of the system.

Can I Bring My Emotional Support Animal into a 2nd & Charles Store?
Yes, As long as the animal provides some type of assistance to a person with a disability, we don’t distinguish between service animals and emotional support animals.
