Marco, who first appeared in Dr Seuss’ 1937 book And to Think That I Saw It on Mulberry Street, imagines a wide variety of fantastic fish that could be swimming in the pond in which he is fishing. In early 2021, the Seuss estate pulled this, among other early publications, from production due to culturally insensitive imagery.
